The way i hack the foliage on my face is going to change, drastically. Shaving is probably the one activity i HATE but still do almost everyday. I am not alone, most men will back me up here, its a really irritating chore. But its either that or look like a cave man, and that wont go down too well at my workplace. I don’t understand why no one have figured out a semi permanent or even a permanent way to remove facial hair, for men. I would definitely buy that. Maybe Gilette has something to do with it, or maybe its just a conspiracy theory.
I have tried almost every kind of shaving technique out there, all but one. I have finally decided to go back to the time of our ancestors, not as far back as when they were rubbing their chins on rocks but a few years back when the now lost art of wet shaving was the way to go. Modern marketing gimmicks have us wrapped up in the sexy designs and the numbers game. How many blades does it have ? How fast does the blade move in electric shavers ? Cant say i wasn’t caught up in it and totally playing alog with Gillette. Always waiting for the next big thing from them but i realized there is no way to build a better mousetrap. I recently came across the Braun Pulsonic shaver (currently i use a Panasonic) and it looked really good. Then i began to question the whole electric v/s wet shaving and wasn’t coming up with anything concrete. The bottom line however is that NO electric shaver can compete with the closeness of a wet shave, they come close but not close enough and my 5 o’clock shadow comes in by noon. So i thought its time to try the wet shaving and like anything else i do, headed off to Google.
The cost of a good razor/brush set was about the same as a good electric so after a lengthy research i have made my choices. The weapon of choice will be a Merkur Futur safety razor and a matching badger brush. A review will follow once i get started on the shaving.
